This year, out of over 1100 tested wellness hotels in Germany, only 1 out of 8 houses were awarded the highest rating, the quality seal of the lily. The Maharishi Ayurveda Health Centre Bad Ems has enjoyed this top award since 2010 and this year again, for the 14th time in a row, is the only Ayurveda provider in Germany to call 2 lilies its own.

“Authentic Ayurvedic cures: A state-approved private clinic that has specialized in authentic Ayurvedic detoxification cures (“Panchakarma”) for more than three decades and has now even become a leading European provider that can easily compete with the best of its counterparts in India or Sri Lanka.“
“The clinic is located in the east wing of Häcker’s Grandhotel, where spa guests have rooms in five categories at their disposal. This is also where the separate restaurant for spa guests is located; the Ayurveda cuisine (exclusively vegetarian or vegan) is organic and very good.”
“The small hotel spa with thermal bath and two saunas can also be used. The hotel’s domain is classic cures for detoxification, revitalization and the treatment of chronic illnesses that are difficult to treat (including chronic pain, tinnitus and depression). In addition to 10, 14 and 21-day Panchakarma cures, there are also one to seven-day taster packages on offer, and diagnosis and treatments are also available on an outpatient basis. Very good treatments, high-quality massage oils and excellent medicines, as well as a sensitive, experienced team of doctors with many years of experience, headed by the German Ayurveda pioneer Karin Pirc. The clinic’s founder, Lothar Pirc, also works at the clinic. His book “The Blessing of Maharishi” not only provides an insight into the incredible resistance he experienced when “importing” the millennia-old Vedic knowledge to Germany, but also tells of all kinds of impressive coincidences in his life – well worth an eye-opening read!
