Haemorrhoids When there is rectal pain.
“I often notice blood on the toilet paper.” “I have a very painful lump on my rectum.” “First it is painful, then it feels itchy.”
This or a similar experience is what people report with regard to their suffering from haemorrhoids.
A network of blood vessels next to the sphincter assures proper closing of the anus. The blood within these vessels can accumulate, creating a blood clot, which then might be felt as a solid and painful lump inside or outside of the sphincter. Weeping, bleeding, agonizing itchiness or stool smear may be experienced.
Suffering from haemorrhoids isn’t always caused by constipation or chronic straining to have a bowel movement. Pregnancy can also be a cause of these uncomfortable symptoms.
What is the Vedic medicine point of view on haemorrhoids?
Hemorrhoidal complaints from an Ayurvedic point of view.
According to the Maharishi Ayurveda approach, haemorrhoids start with the loss of natural balance.
Metabolic residues develop continuously due to improper lifestyle. In the case of haemorrhoids, toxins (in Ayurveda called “Ama”) accumulate in the gastrointestinal tract and the liver. Nutrient deficiency can also cause weakening of elasticity of the tiny blood vessels around the sphincter. Everyone affected knows from experience that pungent, spicy foods can intensify the discomfort.
In Ayurveda every patient is different and so each person’s haemorrhoids complaint varies. The Ayurvedic approach at our Centre is holistic.
What can Ayurveda do for you?
In Vedic medicine, haemorrhoids are addressed by combining various treatments into a multi-faceted approach adapted to your individual situation, as determined in a comprehensive diagnosis by one of our physicians.
An integrated approach
Increasingly, patients are finding that conventional therapies alone are not enough.
Hemorrhoidal ointments can be purchased easily and without prescription at the pharmacy. But what to do if the effect is not as hoped?
In our outpatient practice for Ayurvedic medicine we advise you specifically on this. We look at each person individually. According to Ayurveda, no two patients are alike, and so every hemorrhoidal condition is different. The Ayurvedic approach in our clinic is based on holism.
Many people today realize that the path to healing must take place at all levels. Thus, hemorrhoidal disease may focus on toxin elimination, bowel movement regulation, and balancing the daily diet.
What can specifically lead to healing in your case, we clarify in an outpatient diagnosis with us in Bad Ems. So that your natural self-healing powers can also restore the health of the rectal plexus.
