Chronic tonsillitis
When the tonsils are inflamed.

“I have a sore throat all the time,” “I’m uncomfortable with my foul breath,” “I often feel run down.”

This or something similar is how people with chronic tonsillitis experience their condition.

The throat ring is red and swollen, and those affected suffer from constant sore throats. It is not uncommon for the tonsils to also secrete a foul-smelling, yellowish fluid: pus has formed. If the disease has become chronic, the patients never feel really healthy.

And it doesn’t matter whether the trigger is a cold or an allergic reaction, for example to house dust.

How does Vedic medicine view chronic tonsillitis?

Chronic tonsillitis from an Ayurvedic point of view.

According to the Maharishi Ayurveda approach, chronic tonsillitis starts with the loss of natural balance.

Metabolic residues develop continuously due to improper lifestyle. In the case of chronic bronchitis, toxins (in Ayurveda called “Ama”) accumulate in the leading airways of the bronchia. Each bronchitis patient knows that that the symptoms fluctuate and the cause is often unclear.

In Ayurveda every patient is different and so each person’s tonsillitis complaint varies. The Ayurvedic approach at our Centre is holistic.
