High blood pressure (hypertension)

High blood pressure (hypertension)

The silent threat.

“Will I have a heart attack or stroke sometime soon?” “Could my brain be damaged?” “What influence does this have on my overall health?”

This or a similar experience is what people report when their doctor diagnoses high blood pressure.

Although this illness doesn’t cause pain, when not treated it can in the long run create damage in organs such as the heart, the entire circulatory system, the brain, kidneys or blood vessels.

In case of high blood pressure, the pressure in the arteries or blood vessels that carry blood away from the heart is noticeably increased.

What is the Vedic medicine point of view on high blood pressure?

According to the Maharishi Ayurveda approach, the cause of high blood pressure is the loss of natural balance.

Metabolic residues develop continuously due to improper lifestyle. In the case of high blood pressure, toxins (in Ayurveda called “Ama”) accumulate in the all cells of the physiology. Due to the increased pressure, the system tries nevertheless to ensure proper blood supply. It is accompanied by continuous high-pressure situations such as stress, weight gain and unhealthy diet, all of which foster high blood pressure.

In Ayurveda every patient is different and so each trigger for high blood pressure varies. The Ayurvedic approach at our Centre is holistic.

What is the significance of that?

Vedic medicine offers different methods of treatment. After an in-depth medical diagnosis at our Centre, a comprehensive treatment plan is individually tailored for each patient with high blood pressure.

An increasing number of patients experience
that conventional therapies alone no longer suffice.

They recognize that healing must take place on all levels. In the case of high blood pressure, for example, an emphasis on elimination of toxins in combination with balancing the nervous system can be recommended. It is important to bring all natural regulatory principles back into harmony. Nutritional recommendations, helpful breathing or meditation exercises, as well as specific herbal mixtures tailored according to your needs, support a health-conscious lifestyle. In this way, your natural self-healing abilities can re-establish normal blood pressure levels.
